False allies do profit from anti-human propaganda

I received this story about GLAAD’s announcement in my DMs this afternoon and thought I would address it in a post.

True allies do not profit from anti-LGBTQ hate, begins the open letter published by GLAAD and signed by some celebrities and other rich people I don’t want to care about. Sara K Ellis, CEO of GLAAD who earns a cool $534,398 annually, and expenses a further $26,193, wants us all to know today she proudly stands up as an ally of the LGBTQ community. Her latest tweet expressed the coercive control that lies at the heart progressive activism. Gay people can’t have anything if they don’t include straight people is the new Queer + Pride activism. A Stonewall veteran responded to Sara with the following: the Constitution called and would like to remind you of the 1st Amendment right of assembly. You don't get to tell anyone who they must assemble with; that's what fascists do. LGB✂️TQ+

It’s a sick joke when someone who earns half a million per year and leads a nonprofit activism organisation in receipt of heavy donations from Big Pharma thinks she can lecture me on hate and disinformation. wrote about GLAAD and it’s Accountability Project, a blacklist of celebrities and public figures and organisations which dare to defy the whims of the transgender lobby. The America College of Pediatricians is on this list of haters. According to the Southern Law Poverty Centre, The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is a fringe anti-LGBTQ hate group that masquerades as the premier U.S. association of pediatricians to push anti-LGBTQ junk science, primarily via far-right conservative media. Pediatricians doing their job and promoting healthy child development apparently makes them a fringe hate group.

America is a pathocracy now. Hasn’t it always been, though? Maybe Hollywood exists to keep us from noticing the derangement that cradles us? Take a look at the signatories on that letter to get your answers to those questions. Take a look at who funds what activism organisation. Jennifer Bilek has done some work following the money in the transgender medicine lobby — sex change is big money for medical supply and pharmaceutical companies.

I want to respond to the first point in the GLAAD letter, about addressing content that spreads malicious lies and disinformation about medically necessary healthcare for transgender youth.

First—could GLAAD be specific? What do you mean by medically necessary healthcare for transgender youth?

Second—what does GLAAD mean by transgender youth? Do you mean children who present with the symptoms of gender discordance? Do you mean children who receive a diagnosis of gender dysphoria, which, according to a recent letter published in BMJ Psychiatry, is not a permanent diagnosis? According to BMJ Psychiatry, trans is an umbrella term … to describe children and young people whose gender identity¹ and/or gender expression differs from their sex assigned at birth. This definition includes, for example, children and youth who identify as gender variant, gender non-conforming, transgender or transsexual, as well as trans boys who identify simply as male and trans girls who identify as female.

It is difficult to protect anyone from hate when you cannot be specific about whom you wish to protect from hate. Could it be that you are using the words transgender youth as a means to promote a misanthropic and anti-family vision for humanity? Could it be you are weaponising the word hate to silence political opposition to your ideas? Could it be that you confuse disagreement with hate? Could it be you lack the emotional intelligence and intellectual resilience to listen to a perspective that conflicts with your own? Could it be you have hijacked gay rights to promote a sex change cult?

Did GLAAD know that Iran offers state funded gender affirming care because it is required for gay people to transition or they will be murdered by the state? Do you think that is pro or anti LGBTQ? Maybe GLAAD can contemplate that, I would be interested to know. I would like queer activists to weigh in and decide whether Iran’s gender affirming care policy is hateful or trans-joyful.

Third—could GLAAD elaborate on medically necessary healthcare? What is the specific care which you think transgender youth require? What is the medical indication for this health care you designate medically necessary? When I visit the GLAAD website I see the phrase conversion therapy used in the context of gender identity and I see the phrase transgender youth used in the same sentence as suicidal ideation. That’s professionally irresponsible and dangerous to promote the suicide myth. It seems hateful to create a fear and shame driven environment which blocks access to options for care and treatment that gender confused children require. It seems hateful to teach young people their bodies are the enemy to conquer. It seems dishonest and abusive to tell children they can have a thing that’s physically impossible to attain, such as being the opposite sex.

These [anti-gender] bills are dangerous … Forcing transgender children to play on teams according to their sex assigned at birth, rather than the gender they live in, also puts their physical and mental health at risk². — American Academy of Pediatrics

I see a blurb from the American Medical Association that references the Clinical Guidelines from the Endocrine Society. This document promotes an off label and experimental use of GnRHa. This document also stipulates that social transition be done under the guidance of a Mental Health Professional, the criteria for which it provides. Note teachers and guidance counselors do not meet the criteria for MHP set out in these guidelines which GLAAD endorses. This means that teachers transitioning children in secret from their parents does not meet the standard of gender affirming care set out by the Endocrine Society. So by GLAAD’s own standards, schools socially transitioning children does not meet the standard of care for kids with gender dysphoria. I was not surprised to see WPATH referenced in that medically necessary transgender healthcare blog post. Enough said.

Repeatedly on the GLAAD website I read the same lie gender affirming care saves lives … life-saving gender affirming care … transgender kids denied access to gender affirming care commit suicide … hormones and surgery affirm gender. A famous propagandist once said when you repeat a lie often enough it becomes truth and that’s what happened to the lie gender affirming care saves lives.

Another blurb on the GLAAD website grabbed my attention, this one from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, says

youth and their families formulate an individualized treatment plan with their clinician that addresses the youth’s unique mental health needs under the premise that all gender identities and expressions are not inherently pathological.

Do you see the screenshot of Prisha’s tweet, above? I was told transition or die, she wrote. Prisha and her parents did not get the opportunity to sit down with their clinician and formulate an individualized treatment plan to address Prisha’s unique mental health needs. Also, it sort of is pathological to dissociate from your own body so severely and intensely you can be convinced you are the opposite sex and need to amputate your breasts in order to affirm that opposite sex you just realised you were over a decade-and-a-half-or-nearly-two-decades-into-your-life or you will die. How on earth does Sarah K Ellis or anyone at GLAAD or any signatory to this letter think what I just described is medically necessary healthcare for transgender youth?

Also on this GLAAD list of medical organisations promoting transgender healthcare, a blurb from the Dermatological Association spinning cosmetic treatments and procedures as medically necessary for the wellbeing of gender diverse patients. Gender diverse—that’s a clever euphemism to describe white blokes with paraphilias and sound like you gives a toss about gay people whilst hating them and women and kids all at once. This is a three for one deal no wonder so many people have a hard-on for the SOGI movement.

Fourth — could GLAAD clarify what is misinformed and what is a malicious lie? Because this recent blog post on the GLAAD website about medically necessary health care has loads of disinformation. I have addressed some of the most egregious lies and misinformation in this post—it would take a lot more words to address every lie contained within the message of every organisation listed there. Recently Jordan Peterson surmised in a tweet that those who fixate on misinformation often peddle it. Projection is a thing we do when we cannot accept our own behaviour or some character trait about ourSelf and we attribute it to another.

As the title of this piece states, accusations are confessions, GLAAD.

1. According to the Open Society Foundation, Gender Identity refers to the way an individual perceives their own gender. This is an individual's deeply felt identification as male, female, or some other gender. This may or may not correspond to the sex they were assigned at birth.

2. Well if this isn’t the most frustrating and hilarious gaslight I have seen today! Imagine being serious about your claim that boys will become physically or mentally harmed if they are forced to play with other boys in sports!
