12530 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON
A United Front (UFWD) Frat House Mansion in rural Richmond Hill?
Why is a rural Richmond Hill mansion worth $5 million 2015 dollars the listed address of the now defunct Menergy Canada, as well as several United Front (UFWD) organisations? (Spoiler: Menergy Canada has been in the geothermal energy business for 30 years and currently operates in Jiangsu, China as Nanjing Menergy Equipment Company Ltd).
Open source intelligence indicates that the following organisations have headquarters at this mansion. Note: “Jiangsu” entities operate under the UFWD umbrella.
Reader, what’s up with this?
Jiangsu Development Foundation
Jiangsu Commerce Council of Canada (JCCC)
Free Trade Association (FTA)
Jiangsu Alliance of Canada
Canada China Free Trade Council
Menergy Corporation
Jiangsu Association of Canada
Canadian Ground Source Heat Pump Association
Taichu International Inc.
Taichu Corporation
Let’s begin with Menergy Canada, the beneficiary of a lucrative investment trade deal brokered by Michael Chan in 2016. According to the government of Ontario website, on May 4, 2016, Menergy Corporation of Ontario signed an agreement with Taichu Capital Inc., Hunan Zhongchengguotai Technology & Trading Corp. Ltd., Jiangsu New Century Investment and Development Group Ltd. and Beijing Yu He Chen Investment Co., Ltd to establish a Green Energy Innovation Centre in the Greater Toronto Area. This $100 million investment in Ontario will help to showcase green energy solutions, act as an incubator for green energy companies and create market access for Canadian products in China.
Reader, the most recent OSINT I have accessed (via the amazing Andy Lee) indicates that Menergy Canada dissolved at the end of November. But reader, wait, because there’s more! Menergy continues to do business in China, under the name Nanjing Menergy Equipment Company Ltd! From the entry on the China Chamber of Commerce website:
Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, Menergy Geothermal Inc. is one of the leading enterprises in the geothermal heat pump industry, with nearly 30 years of experience in geothermal applications and an extensive patent portfolio in energy conservation and environmental protection.
Since entering the Chinese market in 2004, Menergy has established a manufacturing centre and a regional headquarters in Nanjing, in addition to 30 representative offices across China. Menergy is the first company in the Chinese geothermal heat pump industry to achieve vertical integration, providing services such as soil testing, system design, equipment manufacturing, installation, interior renovation, project management, and energy performance contracting in one package.
Menergy follows the business model of a "research-guided, production-driven installation service." Our goal is to attract global technologies and talent, localize manufacturing, and establish service networks around the world. Bearing the distinction of "cutting-edge technology and high-quality services," the Menergy brand of products and services is reaching customers from all over the world. Menergy has received a lot of support from Canadian government for its promotion of Canada's energy and environmental cooperation with China.
In its mission to help build a sustainable future, Menergy seeks to explore geothermal energy markets all over the world. As such, Menergy is always open to strategic partnerships and cooperation with government organizations, industrial enterprises and academic institutions. Together, we will pave the way for a greener tomorrow.
Menergy operates out of a location in Dongshan Qiao Industrial Park, Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nanjing, China, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. According to the Bay Area Council, the Nanjing government has built a streamlined foreign business services platform to address the wide range of needs of companies entering China. This includes business development aid, corporate and IP registration services, grant competitions, and more.
Let’s get back to 12530 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Nice digs, huh, reader? What a sweet looking frat house mansion the UFWD bruhs have!
Here’s Majid Jowhari during pandemic helping his United Front bruhs move Canadian PPE out of their $5 million dollar frat house. The music is a nice touch, donchathink, reader?
Are you pissed off, yet, reader? But wait, there’s more!
Here’s a clip (taken from YouTube) from 2020 of Han Tao, Consul General for the PRC in Toronto, thanking Richmond Hill MP Majid Jowhari for his service to the PRC Consulate. Readers might recall Han Tao from the report of the wiretapped (CSIS intercepted) conversations between a PRC Consul General and Beijing’s preferred candidates at both provincial and federal levels.
So, reader. This is weird. It smells funny too, doesn’t it?
Anyway, look at this nice $2.4 million mansion in Richmond Hill. It’s a busy place, judging from the open source intelligence I’ve gathered about this place. One of the entities operating out if this multi-million dollar mansion is Taichu Capital.
Let’s talk about Taichu Capital, reader.
According to an Ontario government website, Taichu Capital [is] a prominent Canadian firm, specializes in real estate and technology park investments. In recent years, the company has expanded into the Asian market, investing in several technology parks in China and participating in mergers, acquisitions, and the restructuring of various transportation projects.
Do you see it, reader? Very interesting, isn’t it?
Reader, why does Jiangsu Association of Canada (JAC) have two Richmond Hill, ON addresses? Also, reader, what is the Jiangsu Association of Canada? (Spoiler: it’s a UFWD group). Reader, this amazing list of UFWD groups in Canada includes Jiangsu Benevolent Association of Canada 加拿大江苏同乡联谊总会. Somewhere on the website the JAC explains that it used to be called the Jiangsu Benevolent Association of Canada. Also, quite simply, the Mandarin script for both English language names of this organisation look the same.

Regarding this photo, reader. Google Translate tells me that the line of Mandarin Chinese below the JCC maple leaf insignia translates as follows: 3 Office: CC of the same township and Chamber of Commerce of the thirteen prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu ProvinceFive groups. Google Search AI tells me the following: in essence, the text describes the relationships and possible organizational lines between local CCP offices and Chambers of Commerce at the provincial, prefecture, and township levels in Jiangsu Province.
A familiar name appears in the open source intelligence about these organisations — Wei Wei. Yes, that’s the Wei Wei from the 5 Decourcy case. The York Regional Police (YRP) made their big bust and their case collapsed.
According to a senior intelligence source, CSIS’s warrant alleged 5 Decourcy’s owner, 52-year-old Wei Wei, was tied to the Chinese Communist Party through his companies in Anhui, and that he was director of an Anhui-Canada “Friendship Association” started in 2012 in connection to Beijing’s foreign-influence arm, the United Front Work Department.
The warrant document also alleged Wei Wei had ties to a Vancouver community leader investigated by CSIS, the source said, and that another suspect charged in the 5 Decourcy casino raid was the family member of a high-ranking Chinese Military Intelligence official. — Sam Cooper, 11.5.2024
Reader, what underlies the YRP failures in this case? That’s a good question. From the CBC, dated 17.5.2021:
"It is our understanding that the matters described above are being investigated by the York Regional Police Professional Standards Bureau.
"We are concerned that the YRP cannot be objective in their assessment of their own conduct in this matter because of their problematic publicization of their investigation at the early stages of this matter, and their ongoing media campaign against our client." — Adam Carter
The incompetence of YRP seems quite disturbing, one wonders how and why. Almost a year ago
wrote about connections between Wei Wei et al and the Trudeau LPC fundraising machinery. An examination of hundreds of federal election campaign documents and Chinese media reports reveals sprawling fundraising networks emanating from a circle of directors in the Canada-Anhui Friendship Association that is named in CSIS’s 5 Decourcy warrant application.
In addition to Wei Wei, these directors include several prominent Liberal Party officials and fundraisers close to Justin Trudeau and his power circle of senior aides and cabinet ministers.
Some of these players are identified by The Bureau in a notorious series of “cash-for-access” meetings and donations that a recent United States congressional report termed a “Chinese state-backed plot to improperly influence then Liberal Party leader Justin Trudeau.”
Okay, you still with me, reader?
Let’s get back to Taichu Capital and the listed director, Shuzhen Jiang. When I search the terms “Shuzhen Jiang + Taichu Capital”, I stumble upon Ican Capital, Inc. Reader, can you see the address listed? There’s our $5 million Yonge Street mansion, again! So, referring back to our list of entities operating out of 12530 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON. The Free Trade Association and Canada China Free Trade Council dissolved last autumn. Taichu International and Taichu Corporation have also dissolved, as has Canadian Ground Source Heat Pump Association. That leaves us with the four entities that have Jiangsu in their name, and the Ican entity.

Reader, whew! It’s a deliberately complex maze of obfuscation, isn’t it?
Reader, I’ll leave you with this last juicy tidbit: Kathleen Wynne goes to Nanjing in 2015, the UFWD bloke who met Carney ran the Canadian arm of a Chinese tech company that sold US technology to Iran and North Korea, and funded a $17 million dollar R & D centre in Ottawa.
According to reports, ZTE paid nearly $900 million in penalties in 2017 for exporting U.S. technology to Iran and North Korea in violation of sanctions. A year later, the US Commerce Department blacklisted the company for 7 years, finding ZTE in violation of the settlement. In 2014 premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne paid a visit to Nanjing, where she met with ZTE executives as well as high ranking CCP officials, such as Luo Zhijun, the party secretary of Jiangsu. Wynne brought $966-million worth of deals back home with her from the PRC, all part an effort to lay the groundwork for future business ties … and Sean Ontario’s economy from its US dependence, according to the Globe and Mail.

As part of the lucrative deals that resulted from Wynne’s cavorting with the PRC, ZTE funded a $17-million for an Ottawa research and development centre. Reader, can you guess who ran the Canadian branch of ZTE at that time?? None other than our illustrious chairman of the Jiangsu International Chamber of Commerce in Canada (JCCC), photographed below. After the US blacklisted ZTE, Xu Xuoaguang aka Denson Xu, founded Toronto-based Manis Technology. Xu also founded BAENKS, a currency exchange company.
An important takeaway from this — that Wynne went to China to meet and do business with the CCP at a time when CSIS had begun to warn Ottawa about PRC foreign interference.
Reader, I’ve barely scratched the surface here, and yet, I’ve told you a lot. Are you curious to know more about the (UFWD) Jiangsu groups? Me too, reader. Stay tuned, that’s coming in tomorrow’s missive, when I’ll dive in and see what I can uncover about the Jiangsu groups.
