What's Wrong with Bill C-6?

The Canadian media has essentially failed Canada when it comes to accurately reporting the gender extremist movement and what is happening to children. So, here is a quick and dirty list of what is wrong with Bill C-6 in its current form.

  1. Conflation of sexual orientation and gender identity. These are not the same. Sexual orientation is biological and immutable and refers to one’s sexual attraction, ie gay or straight, Gender identity is theoretical abstraction of one’s innate feeling of one’s sex. It is not fixed until after sexual maturity.

  2. Conflation of gay conversion therapy with “gender identity conversion therapy” which does not exist—the only studies in existence are conducted on gay men

  3. The notion of “gender identity conversion therapy” is based on the affirming/non affirming model of gender identity rooted in deeply flawed standards of care developed by WPATH

  4. The latest research conducted on gender dysphoric adolescents indicates “affirming therapy” provides no psychological benefit

  5. Some studies even show transitioning may be associated with increase psychological distress

  6. The bill criminalises psychological screening for children who present with symptoms of gender dysphoria, many of whom end up being autistic, gay, or having survived an ACE such as physical, emotional, or sexual abuse.

  7. The bill mandates treatment which disrupts puberty, compromises sexual function, causes sterility, and involves unnecessary surgical removal of healthy body parts.

  8. Such treatment forces doctors to violate their code of ethics, which requires them to do no harm.

  9. Puberty is not a Netflix show we can pause. There is no such thing as “going through the wrong puberty” because sex never changes. Puberty is necessary for bone and brain development as well as sexual maturation. Administration of puberty blockers lobotomises the endocrine system and locks the child in a medically induced prepubescent body.

  10. Children cannot consent to their own sterilisation or loss of sexual function.

  11. It is a violation of international human rights to forcibly sterilise autistic children and it is a form of violence to forcibly sterilise girls.

  12. It is actually conversion therapy to transition gay children—this bill unwittingly legally mandates the thing it purports to ban.

  13. Conversion therapy for gay individuals should be criminalised, and children with gender dysphoria should have the full range of non invasive treatment options available to them.
