What The Hell Happened in Israel?
why it does matter to Canada just not in the way you think
Canada, we need to talk about some sh1t. Grab a drink, pull up a chair, have a read.
A religious feud dating back to the founding of Islam continues to threaten stability in the Middle East Region of the world. Two decades after Sinn Fein laid down their arms and committed the Christian world to peace, the Muslim world still has not come to terms with the fundamental divide that underlies the crippling rivalry between the Iranian Regime and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hope appeared on the geopolitical horizon though on another front, in the form of The Abraham Accords. The Sauds began creeping ever so carefully closer toward normalisation of Israel. The kingdom made real efforts, such as removing anti semitic propaganda from school textbooks. Business linkages between the countries of Saudi Arabia and Israel became a possibility. The Iranian Regime continued its plan to disrupt any peace in the MENA region and China + Russia seem eager to help. The Abraham Accords play a crucial role in Israel’s future, and in the future of The West as well.
Naturally, the narcissistic psychopaths known as Hamas threatened the delicate balance of peace in the entire region with its 10.7 attack on Israel. Remember that narcissists need to make everyone focus on them at all times or they grow angry, they lack the capacity to take responsibility for themselves or their actions and they blame everyone around them in order to remain in a toxic mental stasis. Much of the acting out of narcissists (extremism has at its core narcissism) amounts to defence mechanisms, i.e. Freudian projection.
How have Canadians chosen to respond? We demanded the most horrible evidence and we salivated on it whilst it circulated the inter webs and information operatives began the fight to the bottom. AI proved a great help in the area of how to mindfcuk readers so they lose all sense of perspective and capacity to think critically. We embraced the ridiculous and rejected the rational. Our own political leadership did this, much to our grave embarassment. We legitismised Hamas in a number of ways. We dehumanised Palestinians in a number of ways. Propaganda helped on both accounts.
Canadians watched the same depraved crowd of left wing extremists pretending to be social justice intellectuals as they justified human abuse. AGAIN. The very same baying mob who since 2016 have denied sexual reality and have covered up the rape culture created by the gender identity cult also jumped up to deny the 10.7 atrocities, or to justify them. In the same fashion they have justified and excused the rapes and bullying and death threats and cancellation of women for the past 7 year, in the name of gender and trans and anti-racism, whilst the whole of Canadian society looked away. Yes, we have the demented individuals with antisocial personality disorder aka narcissistic sociopaths continuing their mass formation of misanthropy and corruption under the guise of Queer Activism1 in the drive to exploit the Simchat Torah 10.7 Massacre and it's awful implications for both Israelis and Palestinians.
Many people in North American society do treat this horror and the underlying conflict as some exotic pet that they can fold into their mindfcuk menagerie as part of the ongoing culture war rivalry which talking heads blame for the devolution of public discourse.
M of Spyworld-Intelligence Twitter Spaces notoriety called it lectures by people playing Apple versus Samsung fanboyism, who think they are scoring point.2 I liken it to a loser who jacks off over photos in magazines to feel good about himself. Pick your metaphor. It’s a kind of mind + thought porn for the low resilience individuals who have trained their neural network to require high levels of dopamine and other extreme brain chemicals. Western society has an annoying habit of exploiting everything for our own egocentric cannibalistic culture. Like the Borg, we simply suck everything into our collective, often without awareness or mal-intent. Remember, most people mean well underneath the hood and simply struggle with their own deep internal conflicts and flaws — most people are not out to get you, you barely exist to anyone, we are all so self focussed we forget the world at large. Everything becomes part of our movie-life existence. Everyone and everything is the Truman Show now. In doing this we diminish the underlying problem, whatever problem, into a memetic farce of itself.
Poor and weak western leadership bears a great deal of responsibility. Weak attachment of the masses of society to values bears the rest of the responsibility. Overcommitment to the oppressor versus the oppressed paradigmatic reality of leftists has fcukd things up quite a lot: it derogates + devalues + divides. A refusal to take responsibly in some form looms very large, overall — across the human spectrum. Victims lack control to make people do what they need them to do and survivors wrestle control from themselves in order to triumph. Everyone can choose which one they would like to be in their life and the world of human beings. We often choose scapegoats to carry us because it feels very soothing on a level and it relieves us of the terrible work that awaits each of us—to carry your own broken self away from the carnage. I speak from multiple levels and realms of personal and professional experience here, dear reader.
The way we interact with geopolitical issues in North American society has second and third order global effects. We do not see the power that we have with the politics we play. Below I will give you just a sample of the ways we exploit this recent geopolitical and humanitarian event, that I have seen.
Failure to see the attack on civilians and taking of hostages and using hospitals as military command centres as war crimes. Failure to see the use of civilians as human shields. The incorrect comparison of casualty figures. The failure to critically analyse the Hamas numbers to assess their plausibility in a physical and logistical manner. Failure to consider the culpability that Hamas alone bears as the non state actor that planned and executed the invasion into Israel. The failure to acknowledge the barbaric way Hamas treats its own citizens, both in Gaza and West Bank. The need to make Islam either the boogeyman or the victim of Judeo-Christian conspiracy. The need to paint all Muslims as bloodthirsty psychopaths who want to destroy the world or to paint them as victims who couldn’t help it because the evil white people did mean things in history. We made this into a fcuking social media memetic war. We behave like sh1t-flinging baboons. We keep acting stupidly and amplifying opportunists like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and useful idiots like Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. We ignore the genuine people who have silently and hidden and humbly worked for peace and unity across the globe for decades.
As someone who has struggled with where I belong in the religious world, as someone who has arrived at an impasse with both major religions, most recently Islam, I have watched and want to stop and tell everyone reading that the western response to Islam has thwarted the Muslim endeavour to reform their own religion. In needing Islam to be the evil Moriarty to your righteous Judeo-Christian Sherlock, you amplify the worst form of Islam and you work against reformist Muslims, who are always in danger because Islamists want to kill them. No joke. So, the west behaves in a ridiculously memetic and reductionist fashion. It’s so foolish and selfish.
You would rather read Hirsi Ali tell you all the stupid crap about Islam being evil and depraved that your confirmation bias eats up, than read Mustafa Akyol or Safi Kaskas tell you that there can be an Islam without extremes because they live it and have done their whole lives and have raised their families as such. Safi took a risk breaking the rules translating the Quran into plain english without permission. Mustafa got arrested in an Islamic country because he lectured on Islam without extremes and the morality police got up tight about that. No one who claims to want Islam to reform in the west has ever picked up the mantle for either scholar, each of whom work tireless from within the community against an insurmountable wall of radicalism.
Food for thought. What purpose does radical Islam serve the west?
Generally, in North American discourse, I observe this odd phenomenon in which we seem to need a scapegoat, even as a collective. Islam did it. Gender Ideology did it. Marxism did it. Fascism did it. Feminism did it. Whiteness did it. Blackness did it. Arabs did it. Jews did it. The Queen did it. The Jews are lying. Multiculturalism did it. Millennials are depraved. Rich people did it. Poor people did it. Blah blah blah. After a while we all sound like the adults in Charlie Brown. Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah.
Moving on because, wait — there’s more!
Alex Plitsas in a recent Twitter Space shared his knowledge and expertise about middle eastern geopolitics. Below I’ll provide a quick summary based on notes that I could type as he spoke. I have reproduced his words verbatim where I could and deliberately did not refine the language to match my writing style because Alex explained things with such precision clarity it needed no improvement.
Regarding the geopolitics of the MENA region. Lebanon cannot afford war. Hezbollah has a disciplined and patient force. The following multiple proxy forces exist, funded + trained + directed by Iran, for the purpose of plausible deniability: Houthi rebels in Yemen, Hezbollah to the North of Israel, Hamas within Israel, Syrian Islamic Liberation Front, Iraq Popular Mobilization. As of November 9th 25000 tones of munitions dropped, consider the full inflated numbers of Hamas casualties this still makes it less than one human casualty/tonne of munition. Drop one tonne of munition on a displaced persons camp — how many people would you kill?
Regarding the October 7th massacre. Level of sophistication of planning implies state actor involvement—compartmentalisation of information, teaching tactics. 2500 fighters supported by rocket logistics, command and control - 3000 people training purchases money movements — all happened without intelligence picking it up. Hardwire in tunnels no digital signals. Complacency by the Israelis in underestimating Hamas as a credible threat and over confidence in a billion dollar fence. Distraction by North all forces distracted by threat of nuclear conflict with Iran and needing to hitting the nuclear sights. Priority focussed on Hezbollah and Northern borders and ignore Hamas as not a credible threat. Off sight training. OpSec up front and not an advanced attack, more equivalent to a terrorist infantry, like a full-scale dress rehearsal.
Regarding Hamas planning and Israeli intelligence failures. Weekly drills in Gaza no one was told about any plan or targets, there was just training—Hamas held frequent training sessions and drills, like a reserve system or a nation guard unit. Crude level of military sophistication: very simple combined land sea air no advanced weapons technology targeted observer bases and forward bases well coordinated assault intelligence gathering done ahead of time for the assault. The maritime forces failed and all died. That morning Islamic fighters were called for the attack … they were told that morning they were going to attack and how and who and where. Go kill as many as possible.
Regarding Islamic fighters. Tier 1 Military trained | Tier 2 Amateur trained | Tier 3 Civilian Cowboy Types | Not all uniformed, some clothed in civilian clothes, multiple generations, consolidation of multiple brigades from different groups | stringers embedded with armed fighters on the ground in Southern Israel. Like Urban Gangs yelling out names … yelling the brigade names … (unverified) Shin Bet/IDF detected other languages Chechen, Lebanese Arabic, Farsi.
Dispelling the myth that the IDF killed its own civilians and framed Hamas. The evidence exists, filmed by Hamas’s own GoPro cameras and proudly posted to their own Telegram by them. Why are we having this conversation? Apache helicopters have Gatling guns on them and they would blow holes into human bodies if they did that Nova Music Festival killing. The injuries are inconsistent with slaughter by Apache helicopter — no the IDF did not kill the Nova Music Festival attendees. The IDF had no choppers in the south, Haaretz lefty journalists made that story up to put the heat on Netanyahu and his very far right regime coalition.
We have incredible power in Canada and the USA to effect change through the way we behave as a collective. For one, can we stop indulging the Religious Crusades on our soil? The Holy Land can stay over there, anyone can go there should they wish to partake in the fighting. Saladin can please fcuk off back to history. Anyone who thinks the interfaith work currently building spaces for Muslims + Christians + Jews to safely create community and seek g-d centrism has the evil conspiratorial superCult vibes of Christlam please take a break from social media and touch some trees + grass. The biggest mistake PMJT made involved dismantling a national identity for Canada in his post national neo-Marxist jag. This foolish mistake rendered Canada vulnerable to extremism and social unrest, such as we see rising today. Yet, Canada has a history of excellence + political measure + jurisprudential balanced. Canada had a hand in crafting the two-state solution. We have always known that world stability benefits us, we do not have superpower capabilities. We used to have a peacekeeping role, we can do again.
The answer to the question no one has yet asked out loud involves jihad rehab such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has done when repatriating prisoners from Gitmo — so far they have no reoffenders in their program. The tolerant left wing canceled the Meg Smaker movie, branding it Islamophobic, so we cannot have an adult conversation about rehabilitating the radicalized because it offends the social justice brigade of American elite society. So, to answer the question that the subtitle of this essay poses — the conflict in Israel and the Palestinian territories matters to you and me and all of us here, because human extremism matters to Canada, a country on the cusp and poised to do or not do.
Canada has a porous society, that is our strength and our identity and it is our weakness, in particular because we have a weak political leadership class who shies from national values and identity to strengthen the stability of society. We have become vulnerable to foreign state influences from all sides, including Israel. Canadians show our patriotism by worrying about Canada, balance often feels complex and evasive to reach in the second largest land mass on earth so sparsely populated and spread out. We can do it like we always do, Canada. We can be ourselves once more.
I plan to write an in depth article about the Israeli intelligence failure and the entire Bibi + Ben Gvir political saga that failed the people of Israel, and the underlying demonization of the state of Israel related to the conflation of Zionism with Kahanism. As a topic this deserves a stand alone piece, removed from the simplistic religious Jew versus Arab rivalry rhetoric. Readers can expect that piece very soon.
Queer Activism is a euphemism to describe self loathing and inability to engage discipline and limits in daily living and the need to make that an identity to which people must acquiesce.
