The Hypocrisy of Progressive Christianity
the brain worms of collective self loathing and antisemitism
Progressive Christianity exhibits frustrating and disappointing hypocrisy and startling antisemitism of late.
Progressive Christians say they have denounced Sean Feucht due to his open hostility toward LGB+ people.
The same Progressive Christians will turn around and embrace pro-Palestinianism in spite of its open hostility toward LGB+ people. Feucht describes Pride Month as part of a demonic agenda. In the Palestinian Territories, the society hates same sex attraction, Hamas has made it illegal. Palestinians routinely persecute, torture, even execute LGB+ people.
There’s no pride celebration in Palestinian Territories. There’s pride celebrations in Israel. Progressives ignore the reality that in Iran trans is a forced remedy for being gay, it’s a mode of gay conversion. The biggest threat to LGB+ people is the Islamic world.
Trans is gay conversion therapy. Progressives choose not to see the homophobia of GenderWang. They’ve clung to stupid prefixes like “cis” to defend their mediocre cult of anti-gay and lesbian depravity. Many do so because they have a kid with a gender identity.
Progressives can make up their own modern-day Christian Mishnah about LGB+ in the bible they can delude themselves all they want. In a democratic and open society we enjoy the freedom that we can interpret our religious texts and doctrines as we see fit, the state will not persecute us for that. Far be it from me to stop anyone or judge them for their personal interpretation of their religion and faith. I personally struggle with biblical rules about same sex attraction, it’s a fine line, a narrow path to walk.
We can agree the Torah story of Sodom and Gomorrah had nothing to do with homosexuality—rather, it had to do with mistreatment of strangers, and neglect of the poor, and blocking charity, and about rape.
Progressive Christians who embrace GenderWang remind me of Sodom and Gomorrah, with the way they ignore the normalisation of rape vis a vis the Gender Ideology and Gender Affirmation they’ve so facilely embraced. That said, Leviticus makes a clear ruling on same sex attraction, and there’s no denying that. It’s a challenging concept to navigate for those who practise in the Judeo-Christian religious traditions. Progressive Christians who choose to ignore the Torah in their faith life diminish themselves to a cafeteria-style faith practise. I will pick what I like and leave what I find uncomfortable. That’s not the narrow path, though.
Progressive Christians continue to promote the staged photos of Gazan children with medical conditions as evidence of the food scarcity being experienced in Gaza, whilst ignoring the recently images of starving hostages released by Hamas after Hamas broke off mediations with Israel in response to useful Jew hating western useful idiot political leaders declaring they will unilaterally recognise the terrorist state of Palestine. Progressive Christians choose to avoid holding Palestinian leadership accountable for the plight of the Palestinian people. Instead they blame Israel.
Blood libel is a very old form of Jew hate.
Progressive Christians have deliberately and consistently ignored the suffering of Israelis and Jews that happened as a result October 7th, again, they choose to justify and excuse the worst massacre of Jews since WW2 with lazy reasoning that infantilises Palestinians and ignores Muslim antisemitism and extremism.
Look, Progressive Christians, you cannot say you love and follow Jesus when you exhibit such hatred and hostility towards His people. You cannot say you love and follow Jesus when you support the occupier mentality and ignore the history of the word Palestine. It’s an anathema to everything Jesus believed and stood for to hate Israel and Jews. Jesus was a Jew and He will return as a Jew!
Fact. Palestine as a name for the region of Judea didn’t exist until after the Bar Kokhba revolt, when the Roman occupiers gave it that name to sever the Jewish connection to their homeland. I’ve written before about the etymology of the word Palestine, so I won’t repeat it.
Progressive Christians embrace distorted ideologies such as decolonisation and DEI/anti-racism. They choose to give a pass to Islamic imperialism and slavery. They choose to excuse First Nations people for their history of slavery and brutal battling amongst the tribal nations. We have to change Ryerson and Trutch and we can keep Brantford though.
The indigenous slave owner Joseph Brant gets to keep his posthumous honours for DEI reasons. He acquired African slaves during the American Revolution and according to the African American Registry, “Brant’s African slaves he captured during the American Revolution built the Brant House at Burlington Beach and a second home near Brantford.” Reader, where’s the outrage and cancel cult for this man and the town named after him? Oughtn’t we change the name Brantford to some other name not associated with slavery? Sarcasm alert.
Progressives will ignore problematic Islamic issue of the Janissaries for DEI reasons. Progressives will ignore and dismiss the abolitionism of the British Empire and of Christianity for DEI reasons.
We will conveniently ignore the child levy and forced conversion and enslavement perpetrated by the Islamic empire, because why?
How many faces do progressives have, reader?
Progressive Christians apply the rules differently across humanity. I find it repugnant and spiritually lazy and intellectually crude. The hypocrisy bites away at integrity until there’s little or nothing left. When we consider collective humanity, maybe no one is a victim if everyone is a perpetrator. Maybe. Or, maybe it’s not that simple. Maybe victimhood oughtn’t serve as a basis for the identity of any peoples? Maybe we could consider triumph?
Progressives, particularly Progressive Christians, generally test my faith in humanity and they try my patience and challenge my tolerance daily.
Perhaps that’s a part of my cross to bear.
Brilliant as ever. I cannot believe I found you. Your insights are better than anyone else I read and every word rings true. So thank you.
Yes, excellent.
