So far in Canada the only high profile discussions about Islamophobia involve the appointment of Amira Elghawaby as Islamophobia Representative, her unpalatable views on Québec, and a bunch talking heads in usual self-important fashion discussing amongst themselves the merit in her appointment. I frankly feel very exasperated and tired that I must care about these opinion pieces. Because, as my friend and Qur’anic scholar and mentor and practising Muslim Dr. Safi Kaskas says routinely, the world is changed by your actions not your opinion. Lots of people have lots of opinions about stuff and no action plan. That’s just noise, like the kind of artifact noise my sound engineer partner filters out when he is mastering a sound recording.
So, we are here now. What are we willing to say no to, in order to say yes to ourselves? Why the fcuk are we talking about how hatful the fake judeo-christian culture is to muslims when a Muslims just blew up 100 other Muslims in a fcuking mosque in a Muslim majority country? Why are we lying about FreeInHijab when the IRGC and the evil regime it serves has been hunting down Masih Alinejad to kill her because she said No2Hijab? Are you all okay? Or are you simply cosplaying because you lack the spiritual literacy to see what’s happening here?
Why don’t western Muslims want for their Muslim brothers and sisters in regime countries what they have + want for themselves + families??? How can you claim to practise modesty when you are egocentric and selfish and arrogant?

How do you think we bought political gains in the MENA region, as a collective western military power? How have we used our power and freedom in the past? How have those sh1tty + egotistical decisions created conditions we are faced with now? I am old enough to remember 9/11 FYI—I had just finished a 12 hour night shift on a surgery ward and I was driving under a bridge on the Winnipeg Bypass when the announcement came on the radio. A colleague worried for a day or two that his mother did not survive the blast (she did). Later I met New Yorkers forever touched by that day. The Twin Towers—that’s the result of sh1tty political decisions. So, we need to stop fcuking with this sh1t—play with matches and get burned so don’t then play with fire and cry when your house catches fire, muppets. I am really tired of that disingenuous horsesh1t.
Who the fcuk handed the Taliban over to Afghanistan? Why, after 2 decades did the big Texas talk of Smoke Em Out end up with handing the country over to a bunch of fcuked up and lying bearded fanatical thugs who have begun what is going to end up being a mass genocide of female people? How did the fcukery of Gitmo work out? Remember Abu Ghraib—another fcuking sh1t show. Did any of that stop extremism? No, muppets, it all fuelled extremis and created new generations of terrorists and it created a sex slave trade of little boys who will be primed to kill when they are no longer sexual fodder for the war lords who have served your western political agenda.
But, yeah, let’s pretend this is all because of a stupid holy book humans are too stupid to interpret and comprehend or some fcuking belief system. How about this present situation is happening because it’s serving western hegemony—how about things serve a purpose and when that purpose no longer exists things will change? Yes, indeed it is as simple as that. Do better, westerners.
Stop pretending that indulging extremism is anti-racism. Stop pretending to be okay cultural relativity which leads to distorted values and suppressed freedom and normalised sexism. The anti-racists who want to destroy the white race and who call your country a judeo-christian narrative are not your friends, they do not give even 1 sh1t about your constitution or Charter of Rights and Freedoms or your sex-based rights or your homeless crisis or whatever crisis your community faces unless they are centred. That’s what I have learned, hovering at the edge of a Muslim community that views me as second class as a Western-born, half French-Canadian convert from Catholicism. For the most part they only care about Muslim stuff, and they are happy to live here though and not give you two fcuks for your constitutional fight. I wish it were different, I hoped it would be. Please prove me wrong, I want to be wrong about this.
Oh, Amira and her club of victims want me to feel moved for their oppression, huh? And westerners are going to defer to cultural chauvinism because intellectual laziness is definely easier than owning the fact that imperial appeasement and feudal games of recruiting vassals for the cause of western freedom had unintended consequences. My cynical brain wants to write that the consequences were intended, maybe because it likes to attribute more intelligence to people than it ought to. No, despite the immense body of history in existence to teach us, it seems western political leadership remains arrogant and set against learning from the past—it does baffle me that we could approach this stuff with such rabid stupidity and continue to do so. So, unintended consequences.
Do we really just want to give in and give up and let the extremists win, like we always have in the past century? Why? Why are we going to suck Islamist d1ck over this? Tarek Fatah is right—yes, that’s a Muslim Brotherhood flag and not a modesty practise the Islamist FreeInHijab cult promotes. Yes, of course many Muslim women who wear a headscarf are genuinely practising modestly in a spiritual sense. However the community does not promote that, it promotes the forced hijab getting women arrested and beaten and killed in Iran. Western women who promote God commands me are pro-Ayatollah. YES, indeed, cry harder themes the facts, sisters, That is the effect—when we promote the headscarf as fard we are sending young Iranian women to their honour deaths and executions. I refuse to participate.

Handing Afghanistan back to the Taliban simply emboldened the Taliban in Pakistan. You can google Peshawar and read about what the Taliban resurgence has done to Pakistan. British Muslim radicals are calling for pressure to force women to cover and adopt the bearded thug medieval lifestyle and dress. Listen to the video, if you can stomach it. How about nah, bruh? Also, readers consider that projection is a b1tch, i.e. we see things as we are, and that the proposed suggestion of re-education camps for Muslims likely is really what Islamists wish to do with westerners to cure us of our need for individual liberty and critical + independent thought.

So far, anyone correct me if I am wrong, we have heard only silence from Amira on the Hamas announcement that it wants an international blasphemy court and on the terrible Peshawar mosque bombing that killed 100 and which raises the question of police targeting + infiltration—a security crisis in that country. I wonder what the point of talking about Islamophobia in the west is if we are just going to play token politics with progressive assholes who lack the skill + intellectual prowess to effectively + strategically engage this issue.
People are dying, they are fcuking dying, whilst we sit here and whinge about identities and other stupid sh1t. I DGAF about your identity, I care about the fact that people my daughter’s age are being imprisoned and killed for stupid sh1t like dancing in public, handing out candies at a protest, or refusing to wear a piece of cloth on their heads. I care about the fact that parents like me are losing their children for no reason to a regime execution in the name of my religion.
