Regarding the NDP’s antisemitism and targeted harassment Michael Rapaport
an open letter to Heather McPherson, the NCCM, and anyone else in Canada targeting Jewish American comedian Michael Rapaport as an extremist
Hello Ms McPherson and NCCM,
I will address you both in this letter because you have publicly come out against an American Jew named Michael Rapaport and are trying to bar him from entering Canada because he is Jewish, using Islamophobia and the Palestinian people as your human shield. Since you have chosen to wrap your Jew hatred in false concern for Muslims and Palestinians, I feel it incumbent upon myself to challenge you both publicly and correct the public record, and stand up to what has become systemic antisemitic racism in Canada.
The NDP has a fondness for trotting out terms like systemic racism, so I thought Ms McPherson would appreciate my characterisation of her party as endorsing and promoting systemic racism against Jews. Canadians say no to your normalisation of antisemitism, and I am here to call you out myself, to remind Canadians that they can stand up against hate, even when the legacy media has failed egregiously to perform its Fourth Estate duty.
Ms McPherson, you tweeted that Canadians deserve to feel safe in our communities. Yet the public record shows you as a major purveyor of antisemitism in Canada. Let me refresh your memory with a few notable examples, so that we can show the class just what your engagement history has been on Israel and the Jewish community in the more than 515 days since Hamas invaded Israel and slaughtered over a thousand Israelis, whilst Muslims danced in the streets and celebrated the worst pogrom of Jews since the Shoah.
Since denial is a favourite strategy of antisemites speaking out on the Israel versus Hamas conflict, below I provide a screenshot from Al Mayadeen, a radical pan-Arabic news rag which the Saudi regime has banned in 2015.
Moving along — let’s give some background to readers who might not have familiarity with Ms McPherson’s antisemitic behaviour since October 7th, 2023.
Ms McPherson, on January 29th of this year you tweeted 1 year ago today five year old Hind Rajab was killed by IDF forces in the genocide in Gaza. That’s a false story created by the Islamic Jihad and Hamas as part of their ongoing Goebbelsian propaganda war against Israel, to deligitimise Israel and to dehumanise Jewish people and all who support them. Geolocation data and comprehensive examination of Palestinian sources, together with painstaking analysis of scene in Tel al-Hawa, Gaza Strip where young Hind Rajab was killed, show that Islamic miltants killed Hind Rajab as they were attacking Zionist vehicles and IDF forces.
Since the 7.10 massacre of Israelis by Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other Islamist militants and their Palestinian civilian helpers, you—Ms McPherson—have been the House of Commons’ most prolific spreader of Hamas propaganda and therefore its most prolific purveyor of antisemitism. Your impulsive and reckless behaviour with respect to the tragic killing of Hind Rajab has made many communities across Canada UNSAFE. Extremists in Canada have created a list of all Canadians who have served in the IDF, these are people who live and work in Jewish communities across Canada. I have close ties to pockets of the Jewish community in Canada and the US, and I recently met one of the individuals who discovered they were on a list of supposed war criminals, Ms McPherson.
You have unwittingly given legitimacy to an extremist movement that threatens and endangers the lives of targeted Jews and anyone who lives and works and shares community with the Jews on the list. Making lists of disobedient Jews is not a sound and ethical endeavor of human rights activism, Ms McPherson and NCCM. This helps zero Gazans and it creates much UNSAFETY in communities across Canada. Note that blood libel is a very old form of antisemitism, from the times when Christians would accuse Jews of killing their god. You have picked up on a very old cognitive distortion and promoted it in its mutated form, Ms. McPherson. Congratulations, you win the prize for Member Parliament Antisemite of our time.
Ms McPherson, on April 1, 2024 you promoted another Hamas propaganda story about Shifa hospital. You shared a Guardian story, writing I am horrified by the images from Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza and more IDF attacks on humanitarians. Canadian Parliamentarians have demanded an arms embargo, a ceasefire and immediate action to end this horror. Again, Ms McPherson, you exercised recklessness and a complete lack of respect for your position as a Member of Parliament and you chose to let your confirmation bias regarding Israel drive you to behave impulsively and consume distorted information from unreliable sources.
Recently, in her own social media accounts, both on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, Emily Damari publicly shared her experience of being held hostage in Shifa hospital, which Israel has said from the beginning served as a terrorist facility, which US intel confirmed. Ms Damari was taken hostage by Hamas, who shot her in the hand/arm and leg, and who held her in Shifa and various places underground. A man calling himself Dr. Hamas operated on her in barbaric fashion with little or no nerve block or analgesic, he did that in Al Shifa hospital, a Hamas command centre. You certainly owe Ms Damari and others an apology and you owe the country, your constituents in particular, a retraction and correction of facts for the public record.
On November 1, 2024 you stood in the HoC and used Judy Weinstein’s murder at the hands of Hamas and PIJ and other militant terrorist to promote your antisemitic endorsement of Palestinian extremism. You proudly tweeted about it. Judy’s daughter wrote this for The Hub a few days before your ridiculous grandstanding.
“My mother’s story should be a rallying cry for Canadians, but her name seems lost in political theatre, like all the hostages have become—talking points in speeches and statements, with no real action behind them. Canadians, whose tax dollars have indirectly supported Hamas through funding UNRWA, must confront the reality that our government has not done nearly enough to bring their only hostage home. Abandoning a Canadian in the hands of a terrorist organization.”
— Iris Weinstein
I think that’s enough to set the stage, and give readers and the public at large an accurate picture of the political theatrics that has become your modus operandi as an MP, and where your attacks on the Jewish Michael Rapaport come from — a place bereft of humble sincerity and colonised by cynicism and contempt. Moving on, then, to the matter at hand — your supposed concern about extremism in Canada.
Ms McPherson, I searched in your twitter feed for your posts about Samidoun. You have called out Palestinian extremists precisely zero times. You have stood up for Jewish people against Palestinian antisemitism zero times. I searched the NCCM’s feed for posts about Samidoun — rien de tout. So, neither has the NCCM stood up for Jewish people against Palestinian antisemitism. Instead the NCCM has chosen to taken up the banner of antisemitism with you against Michael Rapaport.
Ms McPherson, zero times did you and your NCCM pals tweet about Palestinian extremism driving hate across Canada and the USA and parts of EU. Also see the screenshots at the end of this article as the visual evidence.
Since October 7, 2023 Samidoun has incited hate and glorified 7.10. Worldwide. From the comfort of their Canadian HQ in Vancouver. An Arabic news source described Kates as a member of PFLP. Samidoun and PFLP are both listed terrorist entities in Canada and around the world. You have never tweeted your concern about a terrorist named Charlotte Kates who received an award from the Ayatollah of Iran, and who recently attended Nasrallah’s funeral.
“I, myself, in Canada, have been arrested and am facing upcoming potential charges for doing nothing more than talking about the legitimacy of the Palestinian armed resistance and Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. This [is] just a very common experience of what we are seeing...” — Charlotte Kates, Vancouver resident and international coordinator of a listed terrorist entity in Canada.
Ms McPherson, you and your pals at the NCCM never once called out Ms Kates for her endorsement of terrorism and glorification of the 7.10 massacre the killed a well known and much loved Canadian Jewish peace activist named Vivian Silver, who devoted her life to working for peace at the front line of the Israel-Palestine border, who drove Palestinians to medical appointments and worked tireless for the cause of peaceful coexistence. You never took a break from yours political theatrics to publicly engage with Yonaton Zeigen, one of Vivian’s sons, who has taken up his mother’s work in response to her horrible murder. Ms McPherson, you never called out the role of hostile foreign Islamist actors and terrorist organisations in the rise of radicalism we saw exploding on university campuses across Canada, documented and reported by Iran International.

Yet, Ms McPherson, you suddenly decided you care about extremism when the Jewish Michael Rapaport wants to come to Canada? Seriously, now you suddenly feel inspired to fight extremism? NCCM too, you suddenly feel inspired to fight extremism? You’ve remain quiet about extremism in your own faith community and you decide you want to fight extremism when an outspoken Jew comes to Canada? That makes you Jew haters. Yes, your double standard reveals your hypocrisy and your antisemitism—both of you, Ms McPherson and NCCM. No Joos, no news, we say in the Jewish community when we discuss fighting Jew hate.
I see the hypocrisy in each of your positions so clearly it could poke my eye out. Neither of you have taken the stand against extremism and terror glorification you now take to supposedly stop the rise of Kahanism, which is repugnant and rejected by mainstream Jews and Israelis. So, please stop horsesh1tting the country. We are not convinced by these theatrics. Kindly engage in good faith.
NCCM, I note that you have done very little to address the disturbing rise of Islamist extremism and IRGC interference in our country. You’ve done noting to address the harm to Muslim women that could come from progressive gender extremism in Canada which makes it impossible for female people to have spaces separate from male people, including toilets and change rooms in public places. You’ve instead chosen to focus on propping up forced hijab by attacking Bill 21.
NCCM, you’ve fixated on Israel versus Palestine, on attacking the CRA for addressing charities with ties to extremism. You’ve done nothing to stop the spread and rise of Muslim extremism, a force which harms Muslims globally more than any other group. You’ve done nothing to address the plight of gay Muslims in Islamic countries, nor the rampant homophobia within the Muslim faith community itself — these forms of hate and dehumanisation which you failed to challenge make people in communities across Canada feel UNSAFE, NCCM.
NCCM, you’ve done nothing to advocate against genocidal terrorists such as the Taliban who are inflicting much suffering on a Muslim population. You’ve done nothing to advocate against the genodical regime in Iran, executing young people fighting for freedom from Islamic rule. No, NCCM you are silent on these important Muslim issues. You choose instead to promote control of the media, and suppression of criticism of Islam in the face of the glaring problem of radicalism and extremism. We will NOT be your Dhimmis anymore, those imperial days are long past us.
Micheal Rapaport said a foolish thing. I don’t know him so can’t make a judgement about him based on what appears to me to be a dumb drunk tweet. And you can’t either. We are allowed to criticise Islam, remember we are not your Dhimmis anymore. It’s widely documented that Dhimmis were not allowed to insult Muslims or mocks or make fun of Muhammad or Islam under Caliphate rule. This is not a Caliphate. We will not go quietly and we will not shrink ourselves for you.

Ms McPherson, fellow Canadians of the NCCM — consider that you both have decided it’s fine to have, in leadership positions and activism and pedagogical roles, openly admitted Islamist extremists who espouse homicidal and genocidal views about Jews and anyone they deem “Zionist”, (which is, according to PFLP extremists, all Eurocentric people aka “settler colonialists”, as progressives to dehumanise them with your progressive slurs). Given the context and the reality of the situation as I have outlined and explained here in this article, I think Mr Rapaport is not a threat to anyone.
Considering your demonstrated lack of interest in addressing Muslim extremism, Ms McPherson and NCCM, I think you aren’t concerned about extremism, you’re concerned with an American Jew who talks back, has attitude, and refuses to be your Dhimmi. Incidentally you both might be interested in knowing where the inspiration for ghiyār (lit. ‘distinguishing signs’) at came from — I invite you to peruse the scholarly discourse on that at your leisure. I invite you to read a paper written by a Muslim in his own effort to engage in self examination regarding his religion.
Muslim rulers in the 8th century AD were the first to introduce “identification badges” for Jews and Christians among the Muslim population.
The design and style of the badges for Jews varied.
Under the rule of Caliph Harun al-Rashid (807 CE), Jews in Baghdad were required to wear yellow belts or armbands.
During the reign of Caliph al-Mutawakkil, Jews (847–861) wore a patch shaped like a donkey, while Christians wore a mark in the shape of a pig.
In 1005, Jews in Egypt were ordered to wear bells on their clothing. — Rami Zahra
Returning to the matter at hand.
Yes, Michael Rapaport said stupid stuff. Who doesn’t? Yes he has some stupid thing in his past with a former girlfriend which he fully discloses. So what? These are, themselves, a nothing-burger.
Remember we have Nazis living in Canada, the Other Trudeau regime allowed SS Waffen officers such as Mr. Yaroslav Hunka, a member of the Galicia SS Waffen Division, to settle in Canada. Did you clap for Mr. Hunka, Ms McPherson? This would render you ethically compromised in this matter before us, and therefore unqualified to speak on matters of hate and extremism. Furthermore, we have the illustrious American-born Ms Kates in Canada, who heads a listed organisation and who called for another 7.10, who openly glorified the October 7th pogrom, and who demanded the delisting of Islamist terrorist entities.
Ms McPherson and NCCM, you are both silent about this thing that terrifies the Jewish community and all Canadians, really. The public record indicates that you are both ok with the world coordinator of a listed terrorist entity whose purpose of being is to advocate for the release of recidivist Jew-hating terrorist killers from Israeli prison.
Please own your bias and bigotry against Jews.
Michael Rapaport can come to Canada, we should welcome him. Mr Rapaport saying he agrees with Kahane barely qualifies him as extreme. Michael Rapaport is standing up to the world to say Jews will no longer be your Dhimmis. I am standing up to you and saying we will not be your Dhimmis. I do not agree with anyone who says Kahane was right, I agree to disagree that endorsing a terrorist is never good for any segment of humanity. I understand the reason for the appeal to Kahane, and I don’t endorse or encourage it. Nonetheless I will proudly stand up for Mr Rapaport and anyone else who will in earnest help Canada fight against the scourge and the cognitive failure that is Jew hate and the danger that is radical Islamic and the accompanying terrorism that accompanies.
Below is an image of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Ms McPherson and NCCM. Do you see Section 2, Fundamental Freedoms?
Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association.
Ms McPherson, you serve the Constitution, which includes the Charter of Rights, you serve your constituents, and you serve Canadians—that includes Jewish Canadians, it includes those who completed IDF service. We do not serve you, you serve us.
Similarly, NCCM, you are federally incorporated non profit and you are Zakat-eligible, meaning donations count as part of the obligatory Muslim tithe. You serve the Canadian people, in particular the Muslim population of Canada, Canadians do not serve you. Please do remember your duty to Canada, that includes the Jewish part of the Canadian population and it includes those who served in the IDF. Note that not all Canadian Jews have served as IDF soldiers, and diaspora Jews are not responsible for the policy failures of Netanyahu.
The families of Hamas hostages are fighting Hamas and they are fighting their own Netanyahu-led government. Your political theatre inflames the situation and intensifies the suffering of the 59 hostages being held in horrible conditions by Hamas in underground dungeon tunnels in Gaza. Your political theatre increases the suffering of hostage families and your support of Hamas propaganda inflicts more suffering on the Palestinian people, whom you claim to care about in your bid to humiliate and scapegoat diaspora Jews.
Ms McPherson and fellow Canadians of the NCCM, please reflect on your behaviour and the values that guide your work. Fighting for Palestinians does not mean hating on Jews. Please leave Mr Rapaport alone and find more worthy targets for your activism work — the actual extremists who want to spill more blood.
Have a nice day, Ms McPherson. I wish you a Ramadan Mubarak, NCCM.
Very well said! The hypocrisy of the left continues to astonish me
