No CBC Did Not Change the Rainbow Acronym

That’s untrue. In this missive, Bad Hijabi will tell you what actually happened.

Reader, it’s way worst than CBC changing the Rainbow Alphabet Soup Acronym.

We have now arrived at the point in our public policy woke snowpiercer train ride where the government invites eccentric and arguably unbalanced celebrities to help set developmental health and social policy for vulnerable kids. This report about vulnerable children and youth in care opens with Alok. Pause and think about that for a moment. For those unaware, Alok thinks and believes that People have the right to self-determine their gender whether it be a man, woman, or a nonbinary gender. The goal of gender-neutral language is to get rid of gender normativity, not everyone’s gender. Alok’s goal is the subversion of natural attachment lines and traditional societal relationship boundaries. This is a report about kids in care, ie kids who live away from their parents because of a family of origin rupture. Do the human math.

On June 22, 2023, the BC Representative for Children and Youth Jennifer Charlesworth submitted her report, The Right to Thrive: An Urgent Call to Recognize, Respect and Nurture Two Spirit, Trans, Non-Binary and other Gender Diverse Children and Youth. The 158 page report had a mandated narrow objective, to focus on gender identities and expressions as opposed to sexual orientation. Page three of the reports provides a note that the language used reflects the wishes of the 15 youth they interviewed.

The CBC published a story about the report, and in its story the CBC used the language the report uses. That’s what happened. If you’re mad because you think Prime Minister Skippy or the CBC changed the Alphabet Soup Brainwashing Code again, then you missed the entire point, you are mad about the wrong thing.

Here’s an interesting thing about this report. The researchers reached out to more than 60 organizations to recruit youth for their interview study and could not meet the interview goal of 25 2STNBD, (surmising the obvious):

This may be in part due to the extremely small proportion of youth who are gender diverse and/or Two Spirit in the general population. As reported in the population-based 2018 BCAHS, only 2.5 per cent of respondents (ages 12 to 19) were trans, non-binary or gender questioning and just one per cent of Indigenous respondents were both Two Spirit and had been in government care. This may also explain the limited number of trans girls and women among participants, as the 2018 BCAHS also showed that trans girls only accounted for 0.1 per cent of gender diverse youth in B.C.

So, my question to the far-right rage farmers is this — why are you mad about a bunch of letters that kids chose and not mad about Alok—an American weirdo living in Manhattan who wants to subvert natural lines of attachment and erase the concept of boundaries and limits between humans—setting public policy for vulnerable kids in care? Are you alright? Maybe get the keys to your brain back from your amygdala, okay?

This report exists to promote the fear driven narrative about gender affirming care, it exists to keep the lie alive that dissociating from your body is normal and an identity thing and maybe a phase and maybe not we don’t know and it’s not a clinical indicator that something is wrong. This report exists to feed the fear that any child who dissociates or exhibits psychological distress must receive Gender Affirming Medical Care, including GnRH analogues, sold under the name Lupron.

Note the language listed under Gender Affirming Care. Cyclical bleeding to describe menstruation. Chest binders and chemical castration described as appropriate health care. Forcing gender affirmation into every area of child development for kids in care. Social transitioning described, among other things, as school acceptance for gender expression, a violation of the Endocrine Society Guidelines which GLAAD endorses.

Your intrepid Bad Hijabi will continue to plough through this report On The Right to Thrive, which is really an attempt by Gender Affirmationists to gender affirm as many kids as they can by assimilating them into the new settler colony—queer society + culture. However I do want to set the record straight. No, the CBC did not change the Rainbow Alphabet Soup Code Name. I’ll take things that never happened for $800, Alex.
