Since reading Michael Laidlaw’s paper several years ago, it has been my goal to stop pubertal suppression as an approach to paediatric psychiatric care in Canada. It is my view that scholarly research is weak and nearly nonexistent and children are suffering under this approach to care, not receiving relief, that is the reason I researched and wrote this piece. I am now at the point where I think, we can disagree about everything and if we agree that we must fight pubertal suppression then we are on the same side. I planned a release today, however, in light of the additional testimony happening today at the ongoing FI/PIE inquiry, and there being a break in testimony Thursday, I opted to release LupronGate yesterday. Final release is now publicly available at the link below.
This is LupronGate, a 130 page report that details the origin and harm of puberty blockers and the Gender Affirmationist approach to paediatric care in Canada. I have covered the topic of “Puberty Blockers” in depth, as no one else has done. My early research question was threefold: (1) what brain changes happen during puberty, (2) what is the mechanism of action of GnRHa, (3) how does this hormone analogue impact a pubertal brain?
I focussed on pubertal brain changes that Lupron affects and I detail the sociopolitical and legislative landscape that enabled the developments which led us to present day. This is a document with a Canadian focus. I did my best to uncover publicly available information about how gender medicine is delivered, I didn’t do any ATIPs for this, it is all OSINT, some published and some unpublished documents. There will be a future edition which will include information that I began researching and didn’t have time to write, about the passage of the legislation underlying Gender Affirmationism in Canada, federally and provincially.
There is an X Space happening today on the Gender Affirming Care approach and The Cass Review that @JackDan110 and @NicoleFromBC are hosting, it begins at 1600 hours, I will be at that Space to discuss The WPATHFiles, The Cass Review and the research that I engaged in and uncovered for my report, LupronGate. I have begun an investigation in corruption and capture in the federal WAGE Department.
