Indeed. But the whole issue of drug addiction is a thorny one, and has been for a great many years. I'm sort of "amused" that China had to deal with opium being imported into their country in the mid(?)-1800s by Britain and America and now the latter, at least, has to deal with the importation of fentanyl from China. But I'm also reminded of being on the "mean-streets" of Vancouver more than a few decades ago with similar addictions of sorts -- kind of lucky to have survived, more or less. 🙂 Reminds me of the parable, of sorts, about two sets of footprints in the sand for a portion of a man's life, and then only one set for some distance.
